How to build a ChatGPT workflow you will reuse

A workflow is a named sequence with inputs and a done state — not a folder of random prompts. Start with four steps and resist adding a fifth until those stick.

  1. 01

    Name the rhythm

Brief (Monday), Capture (meetings), Draft (comms), Close (Friday). Same names every week so the team shares a language.

  2. 02

    Define inputs and outputs

Brief needs messy notes → Top 5. Capture needs raw notes → owners and dates. Draft needs intent + facts → email. Close needs the week → seeds.

  3. 03

    Attach one prompt per step

Store them in the weekly chat or a PDF beside you. Do not hunt Discord tip threads mid-week.

  4. 04

    Review after two weeks

Drop steps nobody ran. Add detail only where you stalled.

Building a ChatGPT workflow is what chatgptops.com is for. Orange Ink designs these systems the way we run our own agency work — AI in the loop for drafting and ops, humans on the send button — and packages them as instant PDFs.
